Send to KindleThe apostle Paul tells us that in the later days before Jesus returns that some believers will depart from the truth of God’s Word and adopt false doctrines that were given to them by demons, allowing themselves to be seduced by lies that will lead them away from the truth and away from the Faith of our Lord Jesus.
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.” (1 Tim. 4:1)
We all know of many false religions of the world and even some so called denominations of the Christian Faith that have trampled on the Grace of God by preaching the Old Coveant Law mixed with the New Covenant Grace of Jesus Christ…. but just as sad, we are now seeing Christians who have embraced the Grace of God starting to pevert the Gospel of Grace because they twist the meanings of the written Word of God, or they simply do not bother to study the written Word because they believe it is more man made than God made…. Here are some of the false doctrines among those who preach Grace that we started by demons to deceived the body of Christ.
1) THE FALSE DOCTRINE of UNIVERSALISM & ULTIMATE RECONCILIATION
This is perhaps one of the most dangerous false doctrines in the Church today because it proclaims that all the people of the earth, whether they believe in Jesus Chrisy or not, are either SAVED, or will BE SAVED in the end. According to this evil doctrine, even tyrants like Adolf Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Muhammad and every person who has rejected Jesus and persecuted Christians and Jews are now living it up in heaven with Jesus in paradise. It basically teaches that all religions lead to God because of GRACE…. It’s important to know that most Universalist don’t even believe in Jesus, but the ones who do say that there is no need to put Faith in Him to be saved, because everyone is already saved even if they have rejected Jesus Christ.
The BIBLE makes it clear that we are saved by GRACE… but through FAITH in Jesus Christ; and they we must BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus in order to obtain His Salvation… to say otherwise is complete heresy!
“For by Grace you’ve been saved THROUGH Faith, and not of yourselves; it’s the gift of God.” (Eph 2:8)
“BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
2) THE FALSE DOCTRINE of GRACE THAT MAKES IT OKAY TO LIVE IN SIN
This is probably the most common of all those who have embraced the Gospel of Grace, but once again have perverted it by abusing God’s Grace as a way to live a perverted, sinful or lascivious life style. They don’t see Grace as it really is, a way to overcome their sins… but rather, as away to get away with their sins… It’s true that all of us commit sinful actions every day; however, the Grace of God is there to empower us to overcome the desires to commit these sinful actions, and when we do sin, it also removes those sins from our heavenly record.
What it comes down to is what’s really in your heart when you find yourself sinning or about to sin….
For example, if your minset is one that says, “I shouldn’t have done that, but thank you Lord that I am forgiven”; then your mindset is correct…… However, is your mindset is one that says, “I know I shouldn’t do this, but its okay, God will forgive me”; then your thinking has been corrupted… Yes, you are already forgiven, but that fact that Jesus has forgiven you and given you the gift of no condemnation is suppose to DISCOURAGE you to sin… and not ENCOURAGE you to sin.
“Moreover the Law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, Grace abounded much more.” (Romans 5:20)
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that Grace may abound? Certainly NOT! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” (Romans 6:1-2)
3) THE FALSE DOCTRINE of NO NEED TO ATTEND A LOCAL CHURCH
I certainly understand why people who have embraced the Gospel of Grace do not want to attend most of the local churches that are available to them these days, since most of them persecute the Grace message and mix the Law with Grace, which is what the Bible forbids us to do…. However, the Bible does teach us that fellowship with other believers is important and it’s also right to sit under a good pastor who helps to reveal the true Jesus Christ to the Church… Aside from that, we all need someone to be accountable to and to help encourage us to reframe from sinful things and remind us of God’s love for us often.
Now I’ll be the first to admit that the Church is not a building, but rather we who are in Christ are the Church… But some have taken this to mean that they don’t need to attend or serve in a church with other believers in Christ.
Like it or not, God created us to have fellowship, and not to live in isolation from the body of Christ. We are HIS body, and a body is joined together with the rest of the parts of the body; that which is severed will soon wither and die… or in the case, grow stale in their faith…. While there may be seasons that we are not in a church so that we can be alone with God, or while we’re in the process of looking for a good church that preaches Grace properly; it’s still important that we eventally put some roots down in a church where we can be fed and feed others on a continual basis, as well as seek couseling during times of trouble from a pastor or mentor… Ephesians 4:11 & 12 tells us that pastors were given by God to help edify and train the body of Christ… God believes that we need pastors, so who are we to say they we do not when He says we do?
“As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” (Prov. 27:17)
“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25)
4) THE FALSE DOCTRINE of THE BIBLE IN NOT THE WORD OF GOD
Last but not least, here is a very serious breach of doctrine among those who preach the Gospel of Grace within the radical Grace community…. It is the wrong belief that the Bible, which contains both Old & New Testaments, is NOT the Word of God, but just a book or tool written about God by mere men and not by God Himself… This false doctrine accuses those who study their Bibles often of being ultra religious lacking understanding of God’s Grace because they depend on the Bible as well as the Holy Spirit to KNOW Jesus Christ and His will for their lives.
I recently discovered a large group of Grace preachers who say that the written Word of God is simply a book written by men about God, and that it has many flaws and contradictions because the men who wrote it were also flawed…. This my beloved brothers and sisters is not only heresy, but it is an extremely dangerous false doctrine that can open believers up to the dangers of living by the will of other men and by the will of the demonic, rather than by the will of God for their lives….. These people claim that all they need to guide them is the voice of the Holy Spirit, and not the holy scriptures because the scriptures cannot be trusted.
It is true that the voice of God speaking to us through His Spirit is also the Word of God, but the written word is just as much the Word of God as the voice of God is, and also just as much of the Word of God as Jesus Christ Himself is…. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Living Word of God, and His voice, the Holy Spirit’s voice and the voice of those who preach the Gospel are the Spoken Word of God…. but these people forget that the written word in our Bibles is called the Wrtitten Word of God…. The reason the written Word is also the Word of God is simply because it was in fact SPOKEN by the voice of God to those who wrote it down as God commanded them to do… This means that it is divinely inspired by the Holy Ghost, breathed on by Jesus Christ and overseen by God Himself… All through the New Testament we see Paul preaching and starting his Gospel messages by saying, “For the Scripture says…”, showing that even Paul and the rest of the apostles also counted the scriptures as the written Word of God!
Now to say that we don’t need the written Word of God to know Jesus is very dangerous…
Remember that Jesus Himself used the written Word to reveal Himself to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus… When they first saw Him, they didn’t recognize Him as their Lord… But once Jesus took them through the scriptures, and they saw Him in the written word, THEN their eyes were opened and they recognized the real Jesus for who He really was…. it is through the written Word of God that we see Jesus, and that we can KNOW Him as the Holy Spirit gives us the revelation… but the way that the Holy Spirit works is generally by revealing what is in the scriptures, and not necessarily through any private interpretation outside of the Bible (2 Peter 1:20)….. So without the written Word of God, it is unlikely that we could even know the voice of God and even trust His voice since there is nothing to measure it against to see if what we are hearing is indeed God, or the voice of a demonic spirit that is trying to seduce us and cause confusion with evil doctrines from Hell.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
“Therefore, when Jesus had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture AND the Word which Jesus had said.” (John 2:22)
“But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth.” (Daniel 10:21)
Now, I might add that the very reason that most of these other false doctrines of demons exsist in the Church today is because many Christians simply DO NOT READ THEIR BIBLES!
They don’t spend much time reading or studying the written Word because they deem it as unimportant because they just refuse to believe that it is indeed the Written Word of God, spoken by the Holy Spirit and written down without error by those who heard God, rather than believing that it is without a doubt, the infalible Word from God, spoken and authorized by God Himself and without error.
Because they use the Grace of God to say that they don’t need the Bible, or to say that the Bible is merely a man made tool to read without giving it our complete trust and reverence, they have made a DISGRACE out of God’s amazing and wondeful GRACE!
